Institute 193 is hosting an opening and book-signing for MISCELLANEOUS—photographs by Roger Manley and Guy Mendes on Thursday, March 14th from 6-8 pm.http://institute193.org

His photographs by have appeared in Aperture, Newsweek, the Smithsonian, Mother Jones, Playboy, The New York Times, Garden & Gun, Southern Accents, Bomb and the quarterlies Parnassus and Conjunctions.

Guy has exhibited at the International Center for Photography, the Aperture Gallery, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the High Museum, the University of Kentucky Art Museum, the University of Louisville Photographic Archives, the Speed Art Museum, Zephyr Gallery and the Kentucky Museum of Art and Design.

His prints are in the collections of the Cincinnati Art Museum, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the University of Kentucky Art Museum, Fidelity Investments, Maker’s Mark Distillery and Commonwealth Bank. Private collections include those of Ashley Judd and Willie Nelson.

Guy Mendes is represented by the Institute 193 in Lexington, and POEM 88 in Atlanta.
